Located in his hometown of Toronto, his brand became a licensed producer of cannabis, citing his goals centered around wellness, discovery, and overall personal growth.

Willie Nelson

The American musician, actor, author, singer, and songwriter who is best known to be one of the most recognized country music artists had founded his cannabis firm named Willie’s Reserve in 2015. The firm is focused on putting Nelson’s view on cannabis and applying it to the products. Willie’s Reserve is also considered as one of the first celebrity-sponsored cannabis-production companies and offers a variety of products that include flowers, pre-rolls, edibles, vape cartridges, and other accessories.

He was one of the first celebrities in the cannabis industry when he partnered with LivWell to launch Leafs by Snoop in 2015. He also expanded his products to Canada, partnering with Canopy Growth. His products include a variety of flowers and edibles which suit his unique personality and style.

Bonus: Bob Marley and Family

When we talk about celebrities in the cannabis industry, one name comes first in mind is Bob Marley. The icon and reggae pioneer has passionately shared and advocated the world about his love for marijuana. In 2014, about 33 years after Bob Marley’s death, his estate and the private equity firm Privateer Holdings developed the official cannabis brand of Bob Marley called Marley Natural. It is located in Seattle, Washington, and is managed by his daughter Cedella.

Aside from Cedella, the other children of Bob Marley have high respect for their father and his accomplishments. They became well-known in the paths they have chosen, with some continuing the footsteps of their father in reggae music.

Bob Marley’s children have also used music and other talents to advocate for marijuana. Aside from the Marley Natural, other children of Bob Marley have also established their cannabis brand. In 2014, Julian started his cannabis company called Juju Royal, and as of today, the products are well-known across all the states in the USA. In 2016, the youngest son Damian had collaborated with Ocean growth Extracts to convert a former California Prison into a cannabis dispensary to cultivate medical marijuana. In 2019, Rohan applied for a license to operate a cannabis dispensary in New Jersey, including his cannabis line called Lion Order.

Conclusion

There are many health benefits that cannabis has to offer, which is why more and more people are promoting it. Even well-known personalities are engaging themselves to support this fantastic plant. Some of them had taken a huge step forward by contributing to the cannabis industry and even launching their brands. The celebrities in the cannabis industry can be a way to educate more people about the benefits of cannabis and remove the prejudices that revolve around it.
